posters appeared in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside in 1998. I told them

that it was a trick, not the police, who designed and distributed those posters.

I told them in 1998 I lived at 350 Carrall Street across from Pigeon Park

and the Vancouver Co-op Radio station and I saw those posters every day.

I told them there was still a basement dyke bar two blocks down

with neon mud flap girls to mark the entrance. Sometimes a bunch

of us from Monday night’s women survivors of sexual assault support

group would go there to drink vodka sevens without any men around.
